Each year, the Federal Government requires all private health insurers to review member premiums and ensure they can continue to meet the rising costs of members’ healthcare needs.
Obviously, no one likes to see their premiums increase. As a member-owned, not-for-profit health insurer, we’ve worked hard to find ways to ensure we can continue to fund necessary medical treatments for HCi members, when and where they need it.
HCi is delighted to confirm that there will be no premium increase for HCi members in 2023!
“We have been working hard at HCi to improve efficiencies and services for members,” said Michelle Wade, CEO. “This has resulted in us being able to avoid increasing premiums in April 2023 like most other private health insurers in Australia. It is a fantastic outcome for our members during a time of financial strain for many people.”
HCi will also be writing to members in the coming weeks to further outline how HCi members will benefit from our member giveback campaign from 1 April 2023. This is part of keeping our promise to members to not profit from the COVID-19 pandemic and return to members “savings” made as a result of lower than expected healthcare claims during the pandemic.
If you have any other queries about HCi premiums, or any other questions about your private health cover, please contact your friendly HCi team on 1800 804 950 or via email at enquiries@hciltd.com.au.
