HCi disclaimer for the website
The HCi website falls into two main components – the main, public website (known as “the website”) and the member portal (known as “Online Member Services” or “OMS”). Content of either component of our site may change at any time.
HCi provides the following information to help you understand our website and obligations, as well as your rights and responsibilities when dealing with HCi digitally. The HCi disclaimer includes our OMS terms and social media policies.
Your use of the HCi website
HCi welcomes you to our website and invites you to use it for lawful, personal and non-commercial purposes.
You must not use the HCi website or OMS, nor post on HCi social media platforms, in any way which
- invades someone else’s privacy
- is unlawful or encourages unlawful behaviours
- may violate or infringe upon the rights of others, including their right to access this website
- is abusive, obscene, defamatory, racist, incites hatred, or causes distress to other people

Where we have provided links to other businesses and sites that may be of interest or value to you, HCi does not recommend, endorse, or accept responsibility for any information, product or service provided by such businesses, nor for the appropriate functioning of those sites. The HCi site is operated by Australian residents in Tasmania, Australia, for the use of Australians. All site visitors and the HCi team are bound by these terms which are governed by the law in Tasmania and subject to courts in that state. Privacy and online data

HCi takes reasonable steps to protect any information you provide via our website. We cannot guarantee that information transmitted over the internet is completely secure. There are risks in using any website, including the HCi site, despite our efforts to secure and encrypt any information sent to us. Therefore, provision of information is a sign that you accept that providing information via our site is at your own risk.
Data that may be temporarily stored on a user’s device by the app (such as cached files) can be removed at any time by clearing the device’s cache.
Online Member Services (OMS)
HCi offers a secure online portal for members called OMS (or Online Member Services). It can only be accessed with a member number and password. Members can see their claims history, access their tax statement, update details, get claims quotes and pay premiums, at OMS via our website at any time.
Registration on the PMS portal and use of OMS indicates that you agree to the following OMS terms and conditions.
The OMS software is provided to HCi and members by HAMB Systems Limited (ABN 44 053 315 772). It is on a separate server to the main HCi website.
OMS connections are encrypted. Members require a registered email address, member number and MFA code to access their account. Please refer to our cybersecurity factsheet for ways you can help secure your access and data.
Emails and electronic delivery of documents
HCi may electronically provide documents you request or that we are required by law to provide to you. Provision of such materials is generally through links on this site. You can print or electronically store a copy of such documents for your future reference.
HCi occasionally sends emails to groups of members. Such emails never ask for log in details and will usually include your first name within the email. If you are not sure if an email is legitimately from HCi, please call us before clicking on any links in the email.
HCi abides by the Australian Spam Act 2003 and takes reasonable steps to comply with international anti-spam laws. Emails are only sent to our members or those who have provided permission for us to email them (whether by subscribing to an update on our website or by contacting us directly with a query). Email addresses are not lent, sold or otherwise given to external mailing lists but may be disclosed to medical providers in the course of managing your health cover.



HCI disclaimer for social media use
HCi has always welcomed constructive feedback from our members and the greater community. We see our social media platforms as an excellent way of providing the means of further engagement.
Furthermore, our social media pages are not for specific servicing enquiries. Whilst we will try and answer any queries in as timely a manner as possible, it may be more effective to contact our customer service team directly via HCi Chat, 1800 804 950 or enquiries@hciltd.com.au.
Non HCi content
At HCi we invite your feedback, and encourage you to actively engage with us online in a respectful manner. We do, however, reserve the right to moderate the content. Thus, we may remove content that is:

Note we may also block users from posting to our pages.
Even though social media operates 24/7, we do not monitor our pages outside of normal working hours. As we may not be aware of any inappropriate content straight away, we encourage other users to ignore these comments and report them to HCi.
