HCi is committed to providing our hospital cover members with private hospital options which represent the highest quality care and best value for money. As part of this commitment to you, we have agreements with over 500 hospitals across Australia, including Healthscope Hospitals.
Thus, we want to let you know that Healthscope decided to terminate their current HCi agreement, effective from midnight 3rd March 2025.
What you need to know
Unfortunately, the Healthscope agreement termination means you may experience out-of-pocket expenses for any treatment you receive at their private hospitals. Please the list of affected hospitals below. Transitional arrangements will apply to HCi members with pre-booked services.
If you expect to need treatment at a Healthscope Hospital, especially after 3rd March 2025, please discuss it with your specialist/surgeon. This ensures you understand any additional costs of using this hospital after the agreement ends.
You could also ask your doctor if they can perform your surgery in another hospital that has an agreement with HCi, to minimise additional out of pocket costs.
