At HCi, we regularly review our products to ensure they continue to meet our members’ needs. From 1 April 2025, there will be some important updates to our Extras products. Overall, we believe each extras product will be better from 1 April, and there will be greater consistency across the options.
These changes include increased claim benefits for many services, adjustments to waiting periods, and new sublimits for specific services. For example, every product now includes $50 per person, per calendar year for repairs to glasses without affecting your optical limits for the year.
These updates are designed to enhance the value of your Extras cover while ensuring sustainability and fairness across all members. As a member-owned, not-for-profit health insurer, we’ve worked hard to find ways to ensure we can continue to fund necessary medical treatments for HCi members, when and where they need it.
Simply click on the extras cover you hold to see a summary of how your cover is changing on 1 April 2025.
