At HCi, we regularly review our claim benefits to ensure they continue to meet our members’ needs and the rising costs of healthcare services. From 1 April 2026, we are increasing the claim benefits payable by at least 5% for some extras services across our range of Extras cover products.
These increases further enhance the value of your HCi extras cover while ensuring ongoing sustainability for members. As a profit-for-members health insurer, we’ve worked hard to find ways to ensure we can continue to fund necessary medical treatments for HCi members, when and where they need it.

Top Extras cover increases
We’re increasing claim benefits for a range of General Dental services, some Major Dental treatments such as periodontics and endodontics, and a range of other health service treatments including:
- Physiotherapy services such as consultations and hydrotherapy sessions,
- A range of Complementary Therapies including chiropractic and osteopathy consultations,
- Many Other Treatments including podiatry and dietetic consultations, as well as occupational therapy and speech therapy sessions,
- Psychology consultations and home nursing visits, and
- Annual flu vaccinations.
Annual sublimits for custom-made orthotics and orthotic castings are also increasing, effective from 1 April 2026.
Premier Extras cover increases
We’re increasing claim benefits for a range of General Dental services as well as for a range of other health service treatments including:
- Physiotherapy services such as consultations and hydrotherapy sessions,
- Several Other Treatments including podiatry and dietetic consultations, as well as speech therapy sessions,
- Psychology consultations, and
- Annual flu vaccinations.
Healthy Extras cover changes
We’re increasing claim benefits for a range of General Dental services, some Major Dental treatments such as periodontics and endodontics, and a range of other health service treatments including:
- Hydrotherapy sessions,
- A range of Complementary Therapies including chiropractic and osteopathy consultations,
- Many Other Treatments including podiatry and dietetic consultations, as well as occupational therapy and speech therapy sessions,
- Psychology consultations and home nursing visits, and
- Annual flu vaccinations.
Active Life Extras cover changes
We’re increasing claim benefits for a range of General Dental services, some Major Dental treatments such as periodontics and endodontics, and a range of other health service treatments including:
- Physiotherapy services such as consultations and hydrotherapy sessions,
- A range of Complementary Therapies including chiropractic and osteopathy consultations, and
- Vaccinations.
We’re also adding member reimbursements for eligible Australian state-based annual Ambulance subscriptions.
Basic Extras cover changes
We’re increasing claim benefits for a number of General Dental services and a range of other health service treatments including:
- Physiotherapy services such as consultations and hydrotherapy sessions,
- Chiropractic and osteopathy consultations, and
- Vaccinations.
