Getting your flu vaccine for 2026

Apr 10, 2026Being healthy, HCi news

Autumn is here and we are approaching the peak cold and flu season. That means it is time to think about getting the flu vaccine for yourself and your family.

How do I get a flu vaccine?

Most pharmacies around Australia can give you the vaccine. Just make an appointment somewhere convenient, and it’s a quick process. Alternatively, your doctor can vaccinate you in their clinic.

Unfortunately, our program provider cannot assist us as they have in previous years, so you can book any pharmacy and then claim payment from us.

Can HCi help with the cost of flu vaccination?

All HCi extras cover includes vaccination cover. This cover offers an annual flu vaccine up to $30 per eligible person. Note there is a person and policy limit, and normal eligibility rules apply (eg waiting periods served and premiums paid).

Once you have had the 2026 vaccine, simply add a photo or pdf of the official pharmacy receipt into OMS as a claim. Or you can attach the receipt to a completed claim form and email it to us.
